Skincare Wardrobe for Fall

It is very important to make changes to your skincare routine when the seasons change. This is because certain elements during different seasons can change how your skin feels. For instance during the fall and winter my skin can tend to be on the drier side so I have to compensate accordingly.

Here are my top choices to include in your skincare wardrobe for Fall. Some products may not be right for you, but they will give you a good idea what you might need to do to adjust your own skincare wardrobe for Fall.

Cleanser:

Dior Gentle Cleansing Milk with Velvet Peony Extract $33

A milk cleanser is great to have on hand in the Fall because as the weather begins to get cold and the wind picks up, your skin can get chapped or flake easily as it attempts to adjust itself to the change in weather. The Velvet Peony Extract in Dior's milk cleanser is very soothing and calming for irritated or inflamed skin and will leave your skin feeling hydrated and not stripped.

What I like to do is use my normal cleanser and then once my skin is clean, load this on and let it sit for a moment and use cotton pads to remove it. My skin then feels clean yet comfortable!

Toner:

Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion  $26.00

I just switched to this toner from the Cucumber Cleansing Lotion that is a bit stronger. This cleansing lotion/toner takes away all redness and doesn't dry out my skin at all. It is a non-alcohol formula, which is great for dry and sensitive skin types (as well as all others too). Seaweed and Aloe extracts act as anti-inflammatories and help to soothe sensitive areas. It also cleans, disinfects and removes pore clogging debris.

Great all around cleansing lotion, I may even keep getting it no matter what time of year it is!

Day Cream:

Mario Badescu Orange Protective Cream $18.00

Since my skin can tend on the t-zone normal combination type, it doesn't necessarily get super dry all over during the fall and winter. But it can have it's super dry days especially since I start blasting the heat in my car the moment the scale goes below 40 degrees.

This cream offers a non-greasy formula to hydrate all the dry areas without making my t-zone shiny.

Night Cream:

Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream $20.00

As you guys know I absolutely love this night cream. It is a heavier cream so my skin is sometimes a bit shiny in the morning, but I have never broken out from it. When I wake up my skin looks refreshed and healthy after using this cream.

Eye Cream:
Day
Kiehl's Since 1851 Powerful Wrinkle Reducing Eye Cream $42

I just got a sample of this eye cream a few weeks ago and fell in love with it after the first use. It hydrates my eye area while keeping the skin nice and firm. A great year round eye cream.

Night

Mario Badescu Olive Eye Cream $18.00

When the weather starts to get colder I take even better care of my eye area because it is usually the hardest area to protect from all the harsh outside elements. This rich eye cream helps smooth lines and wrinkles while giving your delicate eye area intense moisture.

Add to Routine:

Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Emulsion with Vitamin C $30.00

If you are happy with the routine you already have, maybe think about adding a step to keep things radiant and healthy. This emulsion helps with clarity and brightness, which is something that can dwindle during the winter. I always feel that my skin and hair look so much more dull during the winter and fall, so this step with help to stop that from happening!

It is concentrated with a blend of collagen, hyaluronic acid and antioxidant vitamin C, all amazing things for your skin!

Body:
Kiehl's Since 1851 Creme de Corps Pump $48
I have become completely obsessed with this cream. It is the only thing that keeps my skin silky and smooth. No more crusty elbows! I would generally say that this is a year round product for me, but I will be more diligent about putting it on once the weather gets colder.

If you have not tried this cream yet please try it, you will not be disappointed!

What are your must-haves for your skincare wardrobe for fall?

  1. I am in love with the Mario Badescu Seaweed Cleansing Lotion. It does a wonderful job of not drying out my already fairly dry skin...I also am noticing a difference in my eye area since using the Kiehl's eye cream. I do also love your suggestion that I try the truth serum collagen booster from Ole Henriksen. It makes my skin feel very soft.
