A Trip to Warmer Weather

As you know last week I was in lovely Ft. Lauderdale with Jon. We had the most amazing time! The weather was beautiful all week except for a few rain showers (one major of which we got caught in). We were able to relax and regroup.

This product is an amazing radiance enhancer for your skin. I love adding a little bit of this product to my foundation or just using it as a primer. 

It really helped to hide my scars so that I got to use less foundation and concealer! 

The texture is extremely light and makes your skin appear as if it has been lit from within.

I received it as one of my samples in my monthly Birchbox. 

It is definitely a product that I am going to make sure is always in my makeup wardrobe.

Vacation in Florida

When it starts to get very cold, my body yearns to be in warmer climates. So I decided to take a nice little trip last week to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with Jon.

I was so excited to finally take a full week off from work and be able to walk everywhere and not be in the car half the week. Don't get me wrong I love writing and painting faces, but everyone needs a break once in awhile so they don't get burnt out. Not to worry though, I couldn't totally stop working, I always have to have my camera with me. So make sure you stay tuned for some fun photos to get you in the mood for springtime and warmer weather! 

I hope you all weren't too cold while I was lounging by the pool and taking walks on the beach.

Estee Lauder's Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator

A year or so ago I decided to try the Estee Lauder Idealist: Even Skintone Illuminator serum to help fade some of my scars. The product has a beautiful silky texture to it and gives your skin a wonderful radiance. As for my scars it helped a very small amount, and even after trying it for over 8 months I did not see a huge difference in the pigmentation of my scars.

I loved the illumination my skin gained but that was not the purpose for me using this product. Maybe it has worked for others but I cannot say it was totally successful for me. Not a product I will be buying again.

Biotera Long and Healthy Shampoo

I bought a little bottle of it from Sally’s when was doing a bit of shopping for my kit. I used it until the bottle ran out and absolutely loved the results!

This luxurious shampoo really helps your hair to grow longer and become much healthier. They also have an accompanying conditioner which I sure would make you see even more amazing results. I even got my boyfriend hooked on the product because he is trying to grow out his hair as well.

This is definitely going to be a product that I continue to buy!

Red Lips, Nails and Clothes

My sister is a firm believer that whenever you wear something red you look prettier. I think she may be on to something. 

I know I definitely feel prettier and happier when I have one of my red lipsticks on or am wearing a beautiful red polish. Even when I throw on that slinky red dress my confidence gets a little boost. 

This is an outfit I wore on a rainy Sunday, and I will admit the red sweater, lipstick and nails lifted the chill from the air a bit. 

This was another fun shoot I did with my mom as the photographer. The mannequin in the photo was a Christmas gift from my amazing sister, Chrissy. It is the perfect addition to my room! I named her Peach and she can act as a coat hanger, a table, style aid, or just something to lean on.

Chiffon and Tulle Ballerina Dress from Threadflip

This last dress (so far) that I purchased from Threadflip, Sarah Noh's closet, and that I wore for New Years Eve. I absolutely loved my outfit that I wore. I have recreated it for you!

I wore the dress with amazing shoes I got from Piperlime. They are from Sam Edelman. The dress is Alice Moon by Mooncollection. The tights I wore are from Macy's and are opaque black with white line up the back with a bow. I love bows if you haven't noticed :). 

For the photoshoot my mom and sister helped me with the photos and styling and as you can see we had a lot of fun. We decided to play around with a Venetian Mask I got while I was in Venice, Italy. The bracelet is from a small boutique in Spain and the pave style ring is from Hautelook.

Polka-dot Dress from Threadflip

 This was another fantastic dress I got from Threadflip from the closet of Lindsey Herzog. I wore this when I went out to dinner with my boyfriend (Jon) for his birthday! 

I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of earrings (don't remember where I got them) and these beautiful classy t-strap stiletto sandals from Aldo. The purse I used was my leather Bow bag that I purchased from the Chictopia shop.

Chevron Pattern Dress from Threadflip
